photographer, 54-year-old lionel fluker. the tribune reports he was not the target of the sheeting and was driving home when he was shot. a second man who police believe what the intended victim was critically wounded. police have no suspect information or motive. now to weather. the weekend got off to a wet and gloomy start. people had the up bedroom -- umbrellas out. tourist didn't were prepared but didn't stop them from getting shots of the stay. the rain was light, as you see it coming down here, looking east across the bay. the abc7 rooftop camera shows there was no break in that cloud cover. along with that rain came fog. you can see it obscured part of the bay bridge earlier today in the shot from our watermark camera in downtown san

to begin in a few hours. six students and staff member were killed last year the school has struggled to recover from the incident. the shooter was ordered to undergo treatment at napa state hospital after being found incompetent to stand trial. tonight's memorial concert will feature the san francisco master choarl. choreal. >> san jose detectives are looking into whether a large part is connected to a deadly shooting. a man was found shot in a parking lot at 3:00 this morning, not far from the park. he died later. no arrests have been made. this is san jose's 11th 11th homicide of the year. >> the statewide crackdown on distracted driving led santa rosa police to a wanted man who led them on a chase. the seven coins for eric diaz

pen penatta. the police tried to pull him over for talking twiel driving on this cell phone. he bailed out of the car, leaving his 15-month-old son and girlfriend inside. there are three outstandingwayses out for his arrest, and now he is also wanted on wreck his evading and child endangerment charges. >> a man suffered severe injuries were being hit this more than by a taxi in san francisco. he was struck just around 2:15 near the western portal of the broadway none the russian hill neighbor. a witness says the man was thrown several feet. >> ama: the taxi driver stopped and is cooperating with police. >> city officials joined people in san francisco's ocean view strict this more than for a walking tour focusing on urban blight in the neighborhood.

>> ama: shanghai health officials say two more people contracted the new bird flu strain that has killed six people in eastern china. the total number of those sick inned is now 12. health officials believe people are contracting the virus through direct contact with fowl. they say there's no evidence the virus is spreading easily between people. >> former south african president nelson man mandela has been discharged from the hospital. he was admitted on march 27th 27th and treated for

pneumonia, his condition has improved and will now be treated at home. he has been hospitalized three times since december. a rash of prank calls targeting hollywood celebrities has the los angeles police department on edge. a growing list of celebrities have been victim of the 9-1-1 caller hoax, known as swatting. this week alone, celebrities including justin timberlake and selena gomez have had s.w.a.t. units ropped to their -- respond to their home. the prank puts other citizens at risk. >> we're deploying must pel officers, tools we need on a daily basis to these incidents, and taking them away from other calls for service. >> ama: in one case last year, a 12-year-old boy was arrested for making a fake call targeting the home of ashton kutcher. police held the staff at his

home at gunpoint before officers determined the call was hoax. >> lisa has been tracking the weather. and the sprinkles today. >> just .03 on the roof and .01 in redwood city. finally, skies did clear. we had a strong onshore flow but live doppler 7hd showing all is quiet right now. the winds, a little breezy along the peninsula. san francisco, 1. and in the north bay, breezy, sunshine at the bridge, it's cloudy, and ranges in the upper 50s. downtown, 63. mid-60s, half moon bay, and a look at the bay bridge. partly cloudy conditions but we do have two weak weather systems on the way. the first one is weak and the second one looking at a stronger system coming in, maybe in time, as the giants win the game tomorrow, late in the game.

67, los gatos, the forecast calls for cloudy skies. a few sprinkles tonight and tomorrow morning, more clouds for sunday, and a better chance of showers towards the afternoon. sunny and breezy. high pressure builds in the first part of the work week, so overnight tonight, new spotty rain showers in the north bay, and the cloud cover. numbers held up to upper 40s to the lower 50s. we are looking at a zonal flow. that means the systems moving quickly from west to east. this next one is a weak one that will brush once again northern california tomorrow morning. but an apparent low comes in late tomorrow, and that will bring the best chance of showers in the afternoon. it's got a lot of cold air associated with it. gusty winds overnight, and snow, as much as a half inch in the sierra. snow levels down to 3500 feet. here's a look at the rest of the overnight hours, and you'll notice towards 7:00 tomorrow morning, marin county, sonoma

county could see sprinkles. about 4:00, look at the north bay. sonoma, marin county, the rain advancing to the south, and by late in the afternoon, early evening, we have a better chance of showers around the city and to the east bay, the peninsula. the system moves off but 10:00, 11:00, lingering-under showers. southern california, 73 in fresno, and rain moving into the north coast tomorrow. so a cool day there back home with the cloud cover, slightly cooler, better chance of rain tomorrow. 62 down, 68 in san jose, a little milder there. it will take time for us to see any bit of sunshine tomorrow because the next system is on its heels and that could bring showers tomorrow. temperatures around 60 gametime, and steadily warming temperatures. look at tuesday and wednesday, mid-upper 80s with an offshore

troops and a young woman who worked for the state department. all of them killed in two attacks in afghanistan, three of them american troops and the other three civilians. there is early word tonight one of the attacks happened as americans were helping to deliver books to afghan children. abc's nick schifrin has reported extensively from the region where the attacks unfolded. he leads us off tonight. >> reporter: 11 years into the war, the taliban can still strike with deadly accuracy. a convoy of american troops and diplomats were driving down this road in southern afghanistan this morning after pulling out of their base. they joined the local governor's convoy and were going to deliver books to schoolchildren. two suicide attackers sped for the u.s. truck and exploded killing three u.s. troops, one pentagon civilian and one female diplomat. one of very few killed in afghanistan during the entire war. secretary of state john kerry had just met her in kabul and called her everything a foreign service officer should be, smart, capable, eager to serve
